This active family of 6 wanted a main floor renovation with a modern farmhouse style that included family-friendly features, comfortable furniture, multi-purpose spaces and storage. We had the job of fitting in everything the homeowners were looking for: multiple dining areas, more counter space and storage, a mudroom where the kids could shrug off backpacks and messy footwear that also served as a functional catchall for hats, coats, and sports equipment. A great-room open to the kitchen so the family could easily interact; vaulted ceilings that felt airy and casual; and a practical space for guests. We accomplished everything on the wish list and incorporated colorful accents, and natural textures to furnish this family home with a modern farmhouse vibe.
