Modern Downsizing – Preserve / Greenwood Village
This Greenwood Village remodel at The Preserve was designed for empty nesters ready to downsize without giving up comfort, functionality, or style. The goal was clear from the start. Create a home that feels intentional, easy to live in, and beautifully tailored to this next chapter.
Kitchen Remodel Designed for Everyday Living
The kitchen became the heart of the renovation. By expanding the footprint, we created space for a generous island with seating for eight, designed for gathering, entertaining, and everyday use. A built-in refrigerator, double ovens, induction cooktop, wine fridge, and a workstation sink designed for two make the kitchen as functional as it is refined. Clean lines, timeless neutrals, and a glass backsplash from Decorative Materials keep the space modern while remaining warm and livable.
Layered Furnishings and a Reimagined Dining Room
Throughout the home, we layered new furnishings, rugs, decor, mirrors, art, and carpet to create cohesion and comfort. Bold lighting adds personality, while automated window treatments, custom draperies, and Roman shades balance ease of use with softness and texture. The former formal dining room was reimagined as a game room, reflecting how the homeowners truly wanted to live and entertain in this phase of life. Reupholstered dining chairs and bold fabrics with color and pattern add moments of personality throughout the home.
Primary Bathroom Remodel with Spa-Inspired Details
In the primary bathroom, function led the design. The freestanding tub was removed to allow for a larger, curbless steam shower with heated floors, walnut floating vanities, and built-in medicine cabinets. Decorative Materials Sensi White Lithos tile and Stoneworks Bianco Honed tile create a calm, spa-like backdrop that feels timeless and restorative.
Statement Fireplace and Living Area Updates
A new fireplace wall finished in Decorative Material Orcia Greige Ant Stone anchors the main living space, paired with a long linear gas fireplace that adds warmth without visual heaviness.
This remodel reflects a thoughtful approach to downsizing. Modern, clean-lined design paired with ease of maintenance, purposeful storage, and spaces designed for how life is actually lived. A home that feels lighter, simpler, and perfectly suited to what comes next.
