The homeowners were looking for something different. We took advantage of the open space and came up with an unique design that changed this kitchen from builder-grade BLAH to modern farmhouse WOW!  Instead of the typical island with informal dining table, the homeowners opted for a cozy banquette in the heart of the kitchen and added a pop of farmhouse charm with these custom butcher block countertops over the unique L-shaped island.  There’s quite a mix of materials in this kitchen and they all work together beautifully because they are repeated throughout the space.
