Our clients wanted to transform their dark and heavy bathroom into a contemporary, minimalist space that felt like a spa retreat. The actual size of the bathroom didn’t change but somehow the new version feels much larger. Our design removed the giant, built-in tub which allowed for a wider, deeper curbless shower. We accomplished the clean, minimalist master bath feel by selecting large scale, monochromatic tiles with texture …. simple but definitely not boring! A beautiful freestanding tub takes up less space and becomes a focal point because it stands alone, independent of all surrounding walls and fixtures.
