Open Concept Modern Home

These homeowners were yearning for a lighter and whiter palette with a modern vibe. They wanted a space that was flooded with natural light and an open concept modern home with some separation between the kitchen and dining room.  One of the biggest changes in the kitchen was closing the doorway into the laundry/mudroom which allowed us to add pantry cabinets, additional storage and counter space.  We removed the door to the basement and opened up the wall, adding a horizontal cable railing on the staircase which created a sleek, open feel.  The family room window was removed and an 8′ slider took it’s place, which brings in tons of light.
